Do I Need a Crown?

Dr. Ricotta might suggest a crown for oral health concerns such as:

Your Crown Treatment

Your crown procedure typically requires two separate office visits.  At the first visit, Dr. Ricotta will insure your comfort by numbing the area being treated.  The tooth of concern will be reshaped, preparing it for the new crown.  An impression will be made, to insure proper seating and fit for your new crown. Then we will have the custom crown fabricated by our lab. A temporary crown will be placed over your tooth for usability and comfort, until the permanent crown is ready.  Once the permanent crown is made, you’ll return for a second office visit where your temporary crown is removed and your new, permanent crown will be cemented into place.  Our priority is your overall comfort as we give you the best quality dental health care to restore your beautiful smile.
